“And stretching out his hand toward his disciples, he said, ‘Here are my mother and my brothers! For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother."
Matthew 12:49–50 (ESV)
FELLOWSHIP
Fellowship of the Saints
Through faith, we are united to Christ by the Holy Spirit. Therefore, as a spiritual family who share one heavenly Father, we are joined together to give and receive love and care for both our spiritual and physical needs, so long as this does not neglect our privileges and responsibilities as a congregation or disrupt the unity of the church.
Above all, we believe that this practical fellowship begins with our gathering each Lord’s Day for the public worship of God.
Churches in Fellowship
We highly value fellowship with other local churches. Such fellowship, however, should promote peace and love and contribute to our mutual growth and maturity. Within this fellowship, churches may pray for one another and, when difficulties arise, seek and offer counsel.
Although other churches have no authority to intrude upon the autonomy of our local congregation, we should nevertheless be willing to receive their counsel and advice when we request it, recognizing such counsel as an expression of sincere love for the church of Christ.
We hope that this fellowship will continue to expand, deepen, and become increasingly fruitful.
